Argument 1 — Capital Stewardship Across Three Service Lines
Trinity’s strategic plan commits the hospital to developing oncology ($8M), orthopedic ($3.6M+), and cardiovascular ($5M) programs simultaneously from a $25M capital reserve — a reserve that is already under pressure from an operating loss. The lease option retains $600,000 to $700,000 in capital that the build or buy options would immediately consume. Is there a “right” answer for the recommendation?
